Quantity disputes are decided by method and by witnesses. We carry out the survey properly, we record the conditions it was carried out in, and we say plainly where the figures can and cannot be relied on.
Draft surveys
Initial and final draft surveys for bulk cargoes, carried out for owners, charterers or the Club, and attended jointly with the shipper’s or receiver’s surveyor when that is the sensible course.

At delivery and redelivery under a time charter, the condition survey is what keeps a later dispute short. We attend for either party, and the report is written to be read by every party with an interest in it.

- Existing damage recorded and agreed with the master where possible

- Off-hire periods and the facts needed to assess them
We also attend bunker off-hire surveys at short notice, which in this port often means a vessel that has shifted to the anchorage off Huelva and needs someone on board before it sails.
