Collisions, cargo claims, contamination, shortage, pollution, stowaways, personal injury, crew repatriation, bunker disputes and any further liability arising in the Port of Huelva. We attend to limit the loss and to document it properly while the evidence is still on board.
Cargo surveys and cargo claims
Chemical and liquid bulk parcels, concentrates and dry bulk, steel and project cargo. Off-spec and contamination disputes, first-foot and composite sampling, tank and hold cleanliness, can tests and moisture, shortage, wet damage and pre-loading condition.
Draft, bunker and on/off-hire surveys
Initial and final draft surveys for shortage claims, bunker quantity and quality surveys, ROB measurement, MARPOL sample custody, and on-hire and off-hire condition surveys for owners and charterers.
Crew claims and personal injury
Attendance on board and at hospital, statements and evidence, medical follow-up and repatriation, stowaways, and representation of owners and masters before the Harbour Master and the Spanish Maritime Authority.

A telephone call is enough to get someone moving. To open the file properly we then need, in writing, whatever of the following you already have.
What to send
- Vessel name and IMO number
- Berth, terminal or anchorage, and ETA or ETB
- What has happened, as far as it is known
- Club and Club reference, and the member concerned
- Cargo, quantity and the parties involved
- Whether attendance is needed now or can wait for working hours
What happens next
We confirm receipt and tell you who will attend and when. After the attendance you get a short note the same day with the essential facts and photographs, and the full report once the documentation is complete.
Before accepting instructions we check for conflicts and, in line with the International Group’s Guidelines for Correspondents, we tell the Club at once of anything capable of being read as one. Fees, and any disbursement likely to be significant, are agreed with the Club in advance.
